       @kabel42 @dm @danielWell, a pragmatic, multi-vectored approach is best. I'm not actually opposed to a tabbed, modal button bar. I just hate it when you're forced to use that over a normal menu bar or a non-modal button bar. #LibreOffice lets you customize it to your heart's content, and you can have a traditional button bar, a modal (office '07+ style) button bar/ribbon, and many others.I still think a searchable menubar is peak UI, because it's out of the way until you need it, and still extremely accessible. I don't rember the exact keystroke, but I think it's shift+escape, which pops up a search box that lets you search the entire menu system in LibreOffice. That's freaking amazing, and that needs to be a standard thing in all desktops/WMs/TKs.
