       Nothing like finally getting to use some software you've been wanting to use, and it turns out that it has no built-in help (it came on a floppy! there wasn't space!) and the manual hasn't been scanned.

       Well there's technically SOME online help, but it only tells you the syntax of a command you already know.What commands are available? Simple: Go fuck yourself.

       okay I figured out some commands based on the examples disk (which I didn't originally have)but one of the commands is "SYSTEM" which does takes a number and does different things based on the number you pass it.SYSTEM(5) is get screen width.SYSTEM(4) is "is this program compiled?"SYSTEM(7) is "get the file reference number of the uncompiled source"

       it's especially insulting for QuickBASIC of all things to be like this!QuickBASIC/QBasic was the GOAT of IDEs as a kid, because it had wonderful built in help, so I could learn how to program for it just from the program, since I was missing the manualKids with macs were apparently just fucked if they didn't have the manual
