The general idea is that we should not study GIF files with modern systems.Demo with a MS-DOS emulator plus CARRS CD-ROM as GIF source and Compushow (CSHOW.EXE) viewer. To feel the experience of 1985.CSHOW asks the palette to use and if you have VGA :-) "At this time, GIF images always took the entire screen"

The Minitel could bypass the official gateway and talk directly to servers reachable via PSTN.As all Minitel do today, now that the official network have been shut down.Minitels are still alive. Many new communities.@cquest mentioned by the speaker, of course.
