       @usernameswift this could never happen in Britain, but for two reasons: 1) car parks and street parking must have a ticket machine, 2) we have a worse problem where you need seven parking apps because each parking conglomerate has their own app, and each public parking provider partners with a different parking payment provider

       @jay0 @usernameswift I find that harder to believe for a permanent fixture like parking. Especially given the "temporarily free" qualifier. It sounds like it was recently functional.Yours would make sense to me if the payment service only existed years ago.
