       what if: a software coop, but:we have a strong code of ethics (ethical source, no ai, etc)open bookkeeping like opencollectivewe solicit sponsorship to pay for our workbecoming a sponsor grants rights to vote on project ideas, with capacity that reflects coop's engineers' capabilitiesthis eventually grows to engineering teams that could handle either/both wider varieties of projects and more parallel workwhat does fedi think? specifically i'm trying to solicit advice on maximising my chances of success in starting this and also perhaps others who would be interested in participatingexamples of software coops that i can model would also be great!

       i'm not convinced job hunting will be successful for me in the short to mid future, and frankly my hopes for the industry as a whole are very bleak. im trying to think of ways to keep using the skills i have to work on things that make me feel good
