       @risperdoll fun fact  your  idea of  hell is  nowhere  to be  seen in the  actual  christian religion ,  god is a  Savior , not a  Cop .   Dante is  the one  thats rlly  to blame  here but  even then ,  his  work  isnt  rlly meant to be  interpreted  like  that

       @fiore @risperdoll im actually going to kinda contest this bc whether or not i think hell as carcerialists conceive of it seems in line with the beating heart of the incarnation and the sacraments or the theology of many of the church fathers, christianity as it exists on the ground right now is deeply ill and does often take this perspective

       @fiore @risperdoll i’ll also add that an incoherency within christianity as it exists goes back really far and a lot of the church fathers themselves are a bit incoherent individually as far as i can tell but im a dogmatic universalist so im obv going to contest the viability of what some of the infernalist fathers said

       @ophis @fiore @lizzie so God puts naughty people in the backrooms forever as a time out? that sounds like sanctifying the carceralist attitude to me. God as a combination of Big Brother and Santa Claus(of course this is only if you're literal about the Bible which of course only unsophicated hassnassmussians who relied solely on the letter of the law would do)
