https://sdf.org/ free unix shell! making an account with SDF is free and you get to play with a netbsd system! there are some old-school BBS menu you can access, games and a forum! they also run a mastodon instance I used to have an alt on. stable unix badasses of the realm. I'm an ARPA member and keep meaning to buy metaARPA and ditch linode. any day now

this one is super fun if you find a fast machine you want to stress-test or you want to test your gaming machine. unfortunately you can only get up to 30k fish and max speed 2. unless? lmk if you have a cracked webgl aquarium

https://archive.org isn't just for old websites/the wayback machine! you can spend ages on there just reading old books or watching weird old ads, or playing old games, or listening to podcasts or radio shows or songs from records... back in the day when the as220 kids would ask me where to get free music online, I'd point them to archive.org, because there's so much there

https://globe.adsbexchange.com/ and https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ are both super fun ways to watch the boats and planes go by, and also fun "situation monitoring" games. the rules change a lot but the fun minigames are to see what various rich people are up to in their private jets/yachts

for reference my nvidia GTX 2060 gets 55fps at 30k fish at normal speed and goes down to 30 with 60k fish.

how to get in the zone: https://infinitemac.orghit "customise" and enable localtalk, put "endzone" to join this zone then once the System has started (I'm on 7.5.3) go to the "chooser" and enable appletalk. then you can open ezchat, share folders, and I'm sure lots of other stuff too!
