@smugumin smugumin-san, what are your preferences? Do you value the most up to date software or do you just want your games to work/something stable? Do you have an nvidia or an AMD GPU? Would you prefer a windows XP interface or something closer to modern windows?

@smugumin okay, then kubuntu is prob the way to go. Nvidia drivers are easy to install there with a simple command: sudo ubuntu-drivers autoinstall. (Way more complicated on fedora).AI stuff I have no idea about/never used. But they're natively made for Linux so prob not a huge issue(?).Furthermore games compatibility for multiplayer depends on the anticheat software. So Helldivers 2 works but league doesn't. @Kagekokoro @smugumin stuff like Linux mint would work too but it's not ideal for modern setups. If he has an OLED monitor for example and so on. "Just don't buy new hardware" is the position of unemployed autists imo

@Kagekokoro @smugumin only thing I dislike about kubuntu is flatpaks not being the standard. Setting flatpak up takes a bit of copypasting and learning Incase he wants to use signal on desktop for example

@smugumin maybe also bazzite but that comes with different problems and restrictions I personally find annoying. Tried it a while ago and it's just for handheld PCs imo

@vokainen099 @smugumin cachy is arch and therefore unstable and can break. Nobara is maintained by a single guy and my year of using it was plagued by borked updates because of him. Nobody seems to ever mention that this happens on the regular

@smugumin @vokainen099 if you manually mount drives in the file manager the folder name might not be consistent. Check in kde partitionmanager and set automounts and/or specific mounting paths there
