       ultimately what i want in a distro is something that is rolling release but also contains integration tests for every packagewhen you have that, automating day to day maintenance is very easy

       with that said, there are some design flaws with the way melange works.  in practice, melange works fine enough, but if i were to do it all over again (which i am pondering doing because reasons), i would probably have proper inputs rather than inputs-as-side-effect.we copied github actions model too closely.

       @izzy as an alpine developer for nearly 20 years, i am well aware of abuild's capabilities.  i am the one who implemented check() to begin with in APKBUILDs.

       i probably wouldn't use yaml either, but probably something like starlark instead.  that way you could derive packages from other packages and so on.
