       @luce-anon Trisquel.info  is a very user friendly distro, it's I'll say the most user friendly one and the most stable of all the user friendly.As for privacy, that's up to you for browsing.First learn what you can leak when you go on websites.https://browserleaks.com/https://coveryourtracks.eff.org/ Then learn how to filter based on what you need.By default trisquel forks firefox and remove all telemetry etc... but for what website you browser I suggest you to install a web firewall addon like uBo, nUmatrix and jshelter.ideally you want to use them in whitelist mode.https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/numatrix/JShelter is more about fine tuning the allowed JS functions on website you can't avoid loading JS for them to work.https://jshelter.org/But you will never be anonymous, the closest to that is to use the Tor browser with JS disabled and/or the distro Tails.But even tho easy, tails is not for normal people.

       @luce-anon what exactly do you mean by internet privacy stuff? regardless i think linux mint is a good starter. i'd avoid ubuntu because canonical is definitely evilif you've never used linux before you might wanna just play around with a liveusb a bit just to get the hang of things
