@gardiner_bryant Do you use DaVinci Resolve in Linux? Do you know if the paid version works with H.264, I don't want to buy it and find out that it wont work. :/

@Fratm H.264 and AAC codecs ate not supported in not officially supported on Linux. There is a user-made patch for it but I haven't tried it.

@gardiner_bryant Thanks for the reply :) What video editor do you tend to use now adays? I'm still using kdenlive, but wanted to branch out.

@Fratm I only use DaVinci and I use it on my dedicated editing workstation running windows, sadly.

@gardiner_bryant Blackmagic's support got back to me and sent me to a list of supporrted codex for studio, and here is what is has for H.264.. So it seems it should be supported now? I wish I knew of someone actually using studio in Linux that could verify this.

@Fratm that's news to me. I tried using DaVinci Studio two weeks ago on Linux and it couldn't export to H.264 or H.265 and it couldn't decode AAC or export to it.

@gardiner_bryant I opened a ticket with them to see if they will ever support H.264 in Linux. Are you using H.264 in Windows? if not, which codec do you prefer? Also thanks for responding to me :) I appreciate it, and I know you are a busy guy. :)
