Have you ever had the need to roll 196 dice? My friend did and make a device to do so.If you want to try, I made a simulator here: https://pulham.info/dice.html(It's nowhere near as satisfying).

If you're curious, to get any combination in particular it works out to 1/(6^196) = 1 in 329340450472243364812480626171893311993046871415501103005770894240056272800632514675209984059226155321614826748978495239934000957189502501839518203641856

While really designed as a bit of art, it did bring up some really interesting discussions in the lab.For example, if you and your backgammon partner had full knowledge of the upcoming dicerolls, would you play differently? Is there a tabletop RPG mechanic where you can be "clairvoyant" and see the next row of dice rolls, meaning you can try to manipulate upcoming turn-taking to get high value rolls (or conversely, get opponent players/NPCs to unwittingly catch critical fails)?

@kline Also I guess you could do some kind of terrain generation with doing it with real dice.
