       @andypiper @cymplecy @kianryan I wonder if between us we could finesse something on fedi to amplify what I'm going to (self-deprecatingly!) refer to as Weird Nerd Events. Maybe a combination of:dedicated hashtag that people can use (but perhaps not #WeirdNerdEventUK?!)bot that boosts posts from pure "event announcement accounts" (are there (m)any?)...and/or posts snippits from monitored website RSS feeds (like say https://blog.emfcamp.org/rss)But but but...Sometimes there actually is an iCal feed like on #Birkenhack's #Gancio site (https://agenda.birkenhack.org/feed/ics?show_recurrent=true) that could be sliced, diced and served up on a central place, perhaps with a little help from the #MinistryOfChaos. I wonder how common these are?

       @m @andypiper @cymplecy @kianryan We try to boost posts we hear about or see on here. We also try to post about events that our members, or others with similar / adjacent interests might be interested in. For example recent Radio Ham Rally / Bootsale posts. We don't currently have an events page on our website but that is easily rectifiable. All for a suitable hashtag to add or use. It can be tricky to find out about events.  If there were a good way to get a feed of events it could help get the word out?

       @andypiper @m @cymplecy @kianryan Just had a look at the Gancio site which mentioned a wordpress plugin, which would be useful for us.Unfortunately "This plugin has been closed as of December 9, 2025 and is not available for download.
