Essentially, each large company becomes half-way their own PMC. Yes, most of the people de-jure who are supposed to be handling those weapons are supposed to be at least reservists (people who have finished conscription service successfully). But  anything not moscow or petersburg area, especially chechnia and dagestan (that the russian federation already pays massive yearly obrok already to stop their terror attacks on moscow and muslim extremist state independence attempts), the far east states, are unlikely to properly fulfill such requirements 'to the T'.triumph of agony

       @moth_ball i mean, it can clearly work VERY well, as it occurred in 2022 in ukraine ,where anyone who could stand and speak ukranian was issued a rifle at the start of the war. as long as the populace armed, is majority-pro-goverment. THEN it oughta work mostly OK. obv crime/maradeurism increases significantly, no question, but as long as the central power lasts, that can be resolved later. I think any negative side was so greatly outweighed by the successful emergency last-stand, that it was absolutely worth it to do.hearts and minds, something i perceive a friendly lack of in this scenario. There are a few safeguards in this russian federation law (reservists mostly, atleast 1 active service member in the defence brigade of a company), but i question : is it enough? and i assert without immediate proof, it will not be enough. its such new news to me that i havent even thought about it much yet to figure things and scenarios out. also a quite unexpected move i think.i think it will fail more than it succeeds, unless putin finally does the great undesireable and does the general total mobilization which he has been trying to do for ~2 years but failing miserably so far

       @MasterSimper some ~95% of all chechen state money comes straight from moscow every year, at a rough ballpark range of ~10billion USD. + weapons for the service of the chechen security forces. its telling to note that chechnia has the lowest (citation needed) percapita GDP of all the russian states, while having double the subsidies per capita compared to the national average (lmao). something really funny is that the Yearly total GDP of chechnya is only HALF of the money moscow sends it annually. figure that one out on your own

       @lebronjames75 My uneducated data says that the private sector is quite unhappy about the gobt as is the general populace, this is based on what I've read from more educated people. The unpredictable part comes from the mess that is corruption and politics in Russia, and the lack of any respect towards what could be called "due process". Maybe someone will organize something inside or outside the gobbement, or they just eat each other alive through corruption, a tale as old as time.
