I can be alone without feeling lonely. Sounds simple — but it's surprisingly hard to explain. So, an attempt:Loneliness is a deficit. The feeling that something is missing that should be there.Being alone without loneliness isn't a deficit state. It's complete in itself, no gap. No waiting. No awareness of an absence. Just: me, and whatever is.The difference isn't that I tolerate or suppress loneliness. The trigger simply isn't there.Someone who isn't hungry doesn't miss food either. The absence creates no urge. Same here: people aren't around right now — and that creates nothing. No lack, no longing. Not because I'm numb or avoiding connection. But because the background hum that tells most people "you shouldn't be alone" just doesn't run in me.#Loneliness #Solitude #Introversion #Autism
