       Look at this absolutely bonkers VCR remote. The LCD display is kinda interactive and guides you through programming the VCR to record. When you're done the blue TRANS button sends the instructions to the VCR to make the magic happen. That or you just have to leave the remote in view of the VCR as it's going to send the commands in sequence, like the original VCR+ standalone remotes. Very cute.

       One intriguing question: this remote has a battery backed realtime clock in it! Can this eliminate the blinking 12:00 syndrome after a power outage by just periodically sending the VCR a clock sync frame?
