       Today's internal venting was about how the take away everyone gets from Omelas completely ignored the most important line in the story:Do you believe? Do you accept the festival, the city, the joy? No? Then let me describe onemore thing.The child is the reader's inability to imagine a story about just society without demanding some kind of dark twist. And even if the moral was to walk away, I have no where to walk to in the real world. (aand the story, once again, aims at the unimaginative reader. It asserts it can't even descibe the place those who walk away go to because you the read cannot believe it)

       As I feel increasingly nowhere to go in the world and feel large scale political efforts to leave me isolated, the whole store just sits in my stomach like bile.
