       There's this person who repeatedly asks for my advice, and then argues against whatever I say and does the opposite, and I'm getting a little ticked off at that. What would you do?

       @daniel Sometimes it's helpful to me hearing other people's opinion to find out about my own and sometimes that means the opposite of the advice. That said if it drains you, you should mention it so you can find a solution that's good for both of you

       @daniel My teenage daughter does this all the time. 😂 Maybe it's not comparable. I chose to not take it personally. Also, we just talk about it later – did you really want my advice or did you just need someone to make up your mind? Mostly it's the latter, which I have learned to accept.

       @daniel I haven't had to deal with that for a while since I moved to Utah and started ignoring people, but I did work with this startup founder who invited himself along to my afternoon reading break at a coffee shop and tried to start an argument (he is in that category of arguers who will argue about anything just to win and show he's the smartest person in the room), so I just opened my book and started reading.
