       @fiore@brain.worm.pink more libraries you depend on, harder it becomes to statically link, especially in graphical softwareand since a lot of them are under some variant of gpl, static linking is straight up violating the corresponding license

       @monkey imean  i guesseed  as much  too ..  also  i cant  really be  bothered to care about  proprietary software  anyways ,  but yea  im just kinda curious if  the  “binary portabilty on linux sucks” argument  is literally only because of  glibc being hell  to statlink
