       I ended up stumbling upon the last time the death penalty was used in New York, and the history is pretty crazy. Even back in the 40s and 50s they were letting black people off with slaps on the wrist. He slashed a guy with a knife, and only got a small fine? He murdered someone but got a plea bargain for manslaughter with a short sentence? Slashed multiple others and got barely any punishment for it? I did not know the justice system was doing this all the way back then. I wonder if that is why people resorted to lynchings back then. Thank you friend.
