Arifureta has probably become my favorite isekai because it's a generic nice guy who gets thrown into the deep end literally, snaps, and pieces himself back together (also somewhat literally), with the most aesthetic outfit ever.I also think it a nice touch that his trauma-bond waifu is the one who gets him to open up to others more in order to accept love from more people, because aside from his sensei he would close off completely to anyone and everyone.

It is, Arifureta is way better written and Raphtalia is probably 80% of the redeeming value (20% revenge on Bitch). The lack of romantic advance between her and Naofumi is a big reason a lot of fans here have panned season 4, and others lost interest after revenge came rather quickly.Arifureta's S1 OP is also a banger; though so were the Shield Hero S1 and S2 OPs.
