       i don't have any of my useful programs or compilers on the local disk. they're all on the Novell NetWare server. and i don't have a spare ethernet cable over where i have this computer currently.i'll have to terminate a new cable. a task for tomorrow, i think

       i want VBDOS and Turbo Assembler.i have them both on 5.25" floppy, so i could install them locally, but i still have source code on the server and would like to store it there. i trust my RAID more than this compactflash card

       i went ahead and grabbed my floppies, i have local disk space available and figure its worth having a local copy of the dev tools

       @prplecake@gts.prplecake.com they are! this ViewSonic 6 was in a girlfriend's family, and now i am the steward of iti also have a ViewSonic PS790, which i got entirely for free from Computer Surplus in Redmond, Washington about 7 years ago, just by promising that i would actually use it. i have dragged it with me across the country since.it has been very trustworthy since. i have frequently used it next to and often in favor of modern monitors on modern systems in some cases - though modern OLEDs are beginning to realistically compare in framerate and appearance.
