       Argh, I'm also reminded I need to hack up `ruff` a bit and see if the changes I need are interesting to upstream...It does break with the strict PEP8 compliance, but jfc PEP8 is /so ugly/ and also some of the choices make it so much harder to read the code,

       @scy There are a handful of little things:* Using `'''` rather than `"""` for doc-comments* Aligning `from <X>  import <Y>` statementsAnd a few other little things I forget off-hand, would need to dig back through the docs and see what was there and what was not
