       I'm currently dual-wielding a novelty run of an easy JRPG and a normal run of a hard JRPG while rotating an easy challenge run of a moderate-difficulty JRPG in my mind. I have a problem.

       @nierenstein unpopular observations:1. RPGs are not inherently difficult. They are synthetically difficult.2. JRPG is not a legitimate term. An RPG is an RPG.

       It's not a good term, but "4 dudes in a line" is a very distinct type of game and all of these are that. They're absolutely not the same thing as Skyrim. And yes, Phantasy Star II's difficulty really is just "if you get unlucky you have to redo the hour-long dungeon crawl lel" but that does make it harder than most in a way
