GLP-1 peptide that makes people lose weight super fast. It’s why the fat acceptance movement disappeared.

@MK2boogaloo @BowsacNoodle it's a glp-1 receptor agonist, so it messes with how your body handles insulin response and digestion speed. It's been reworked into a weight loss drug and it and other weight loss drugs have made incredible amounts of money for their manufacturers

@Paultron @BowsacNoodle this sounds dangerous ngl, isn't losing weight easy? I mean, not bragging but I lost quite a lot of weight just by not eating that much.

@Paultron @BowsacNoodle typical Amerifat problem, has there been any known issues with using that drug?

@MK2boogaloo @BowsacNoodle it's been in use in lower dosages for controlling certain aspects of T2 diabetes for a while and they haven't gotten any crazy problems like super cancer or holes in the brain yet. I suspect long term down regulation of hormone receptors on the gut can't be without problems but it doesn't look like a thalidomide sort of problem

Yes. People lose weight in weird ways and not in the same order it goes on. Ozempic butt and ozempic face are meme terms for it. Some people have lost their eye sight or had other weird things. Obvious ones like brain fog or basically numbing everything à la ssri because you start rewiring your reward mechanism and some parts of your personality are muted.

Losing weight is easy. It does become significantly harder at certain points in your life very rapidly. My hunch is that people develop metabolic syndromes that are largely hidden by their activity and natural caloric use, and the body suddenly needs less calories at certain points and the weight gain and syndrome issues both increase.

@BowsacNoodle @Paultron well the easiest fix is for people to WALK. Not even a strength training, just walking.

Losing weight quickly and unevenly. Normally people lose weight roughly in the reverse order of how it went on. These drugs are sort of indiscriminate and it makes people look gaunt and gives them a pancake butt that’s sagging from the sudden loss of fat. Even if you’re someone who doesn’t appreciate 🍑 butts, the sudden loss of fat damages the normal shapely appearance of the figure.

@BowsacNoodle @Paultron wtf?? I'd rather stay fat than to have my face turned into something out of Edgar Allan Poe's book. That guy on the 4th picture looks better when he's "fat"

@dictatordave @BowsacNoodle @Paultron okay you should not use the word hag maxxing here, they're faggotmaxxing. Real hag maxxer like me only want OLDER WOMEN not women who artificially made their faces look older by taking drugs just because they couldn't stop eating.

There’s a reason buccal fat removal and now buccal reshaping (adding implants to fix this) have been popular in the last decade.

I get the appeal for people who have a lot of extra weight they’ve tried to remove and are otherwise in a downward health spiral. Like pre-diabetes it’s probably sensible to do whatever is possible to save your GLUT4 and pancreas and prevent the rapid downward spiral, but for just vanity it seems incredibly foolish.

yea i'm definitely all for people using measures to preserve their health long term and a short cycle of low dosing probably doesn't really do measurable damage, but this shit is out of controlmy wife's got some friends that really upped the dose and its worrying how people just kinda trusted stuff is safe. consistency and a realistic program for your situation is key, or just coming to terms with what efforts you've just gotta put in and what restrictions you have to put on your dietbut there's so many factors at play besides lifestyle and available time for efforts. i'd really like to see what other drugs such as mood stabilizers this population of glp1 users is on as well as family histories

strength training is equal or better than walking because it forces muscles to uptake insulin and all the ancillary benefits including recovery metabolic stuff. Walking does this too but takes longer to get to secondary benefits afaik (stairs and hills for peak efficiency). Point is people should do light exercise at least because all exercises are useful. Yeah you get better ROI for time doing squats and high weight lifting and HIIT, but you get better ROI for recovery just walking for hours.

@BowsacNoodle @Paultron obviously it's far better, but yeah I'm just saying that for people who are too "busy" with that, they could just walk and it'd solve their fat issue.Weird how most people don't want to build muscles now instead they just want to be skinny.

Lots of wonky chemicals are stored in fat, and ripping the fat out like that can only do even more damage. That, and shooting up with gila monster venom, on top of a five gallon bucket of SSRIs.

I remember pre glp1 days there were reports of chubby stoners trying to get healthy and stuck a horrible brainfog for months while they were cutting weight. One guy did a drug test and came back positive for THC despite not smoking or using weed for two months+. It really is hard to know what’s sequestered in the fats, but as the old saying goes, you are what you eat.

I can count the number of women I know who understand that lifting heavy weights won’t accidentally make them look like a pole vaulter on one hand. I’m sure it’s better today with hyper vanity culture and girls filming their own butts while they squat (You almost never saw women do weighted squats 20 years ago outside of athletes). I used to ask them >”don’t you think it’s weird how men go to the gym for years and never look like Arnold, but you think six weeks of lifting will do it to you?”Which worked about as well as you’d expect (not at all).

@BowsacNoodle @Paultron for women, we all know they're there to seek attention or making their butts larger. But for men, it's an entirely different thing. I saw some friends who posted pictures of themselves in gym, with the usual pose in front of the mirror and such. They only went there thrice? Not sure, either way they never posted anything else about gym after that.Luckily none of my friends have any experience of taking steroids like some of yours might've done.

Gear was pretty popular but not everywhere in the early 2000s to 2010s when you could order random things like that from sketchy Chinese factories. IDK what goes on now, but it seems more pharmaceuticals. The women lifting for a bigger butt were rare back then.
