       There are a lot of fields where it makes thing worse. There are some fields where it's unavoidable. I think the LLMs make shit code when people try to generate 10k+ lines at  a time with spec driven development. But if it's used on small segments here and there, it can get you off the ground (but you still need to adjust 1/3 of it if you care about code quality).Unfortunately, it's unavoidable in my field if you don't want to fall really behind. But it's also overused and I think the field will shift over to non-LLM coders within 6 years, getting paid way over market if they know how to code, to tackle and reverse the massive amount of slop.TL;DR the religious angle would work for me with COVID-death-jabs, but not so much in the LLM era because it's more-than-marginally useful.
