       my gpu has a usb C port on it for VR headsets that never ended up panning out sadly. it at least supports USB PD power since it can power my monitor that needs that power to get full brightness otherwise it will start browning out.

       oh apparently my portable monitor only supports freesync over the USB C portsthat does it then I'm using the usb c port

       @Jes@labyrinth.zone I really wish this caught on. USB-C + PD + DP Alt Mode is SO handy, and without having to get one of those awkward Thunderbolt add-on cards that are generally poorly supported and limited to certain motherboards.

       @maddy heck being able to power all the monitors in your setup off the PC would be sick as hell and something that definitely could be facilitated if the GPUs had USB C instead of everything else. all they have to do is give you adapters for all of the monitors and maybe one normal fallback port

       @Jes@labyrinth.zone Yeah! Hell, since it's just DisplayPort protocol with DP Alt mode, you could hypothetically drive three monitors with a single port and an MST hub. Besides that, DisplayPort adapts to anything with relative ease.Ahhhh, that would've been so sweet.

       @maddy you could use those adapter hubs but I worry about power, that would probably require a separate power supply
