Yup.I think we're going to eventually give up on the idea education can be universal. Not in a heterogenous society. It's going to go back where a real education goes to those who can afford it and those with the exceptional talent it won't be wasted on. Everyone else gets AI. Teachers will just become minders because no one wants to give up the "free" daycare schools provide for single mothers and dual income families. They can't get rid of that.But the money that can be saved by eliminating the bullshit of specialized "educators" is too much to pass up. It's a huge part of the budget.

It's already acting as a filter for me because I know people who are using it that way already. They have the genuine interest and initiative to learn. And then I know others with advanced education and credentials who couldn't care. They received their pieces of paper and (maybe) the nice jobs that are supposed to go with them. Why would they want to do even *more* work. It's just work.It's always that 80/20 split. It's just people.
