       Lots of people mistake these Enlightenment beliefs as "Christian" beliefs, but they aren't.There is a universality between the two that provides a link, but only one can survive without "all humans have the same values"This is also why the idea of "evil" has been swapped out for therapy culture.

       there is a very low limit to assimilation, and that's ok. People want assimilation to fix all the problems in the world, and it can't. But more critically, you don't *need* all people to be the freaking same.A misplaced attempt to stop wars is what really gave this power, which isn't the worst, but there are ways to create more misery than war.

       Mamdani being a muslim is pretty much all performative though. His wife doesn't wear a hijab, he tolerates jews and he has made no attempt at instating shariah law.

       Obviously, but people saying "New York is now a muslim stronghold" hasn't seen what some towns in Britain look like. That is an example of total takeover.
