       one thing that really hits my brain is how much smaller the world becomes the more i travel through it and the easier tech makes to exist in itwhen i was a kid, Riga felt like it was a lifetime away (3 hour car drive)now reaching helsinki in my mind is a question of "can i be bothered to wash and clothe myself proper and open the page for ferry tickets for this or not" "UGH i havent washed my clothes fuck"if i were to get lost or even have the risk of getting lost in stockholm at age 20 in the year 2010 i would freak outeven for work i dont know or care what im doing until i need to sleep and i DM my boss at 20:00 in the evening saying "im here at location X i need to sleep somewhere here please book something around here for me" and 20 minutes later someone else has made a hotel happen for me and all i gotta do is show up at the coordinates in citywhat an insane paradigma for how travel has changedthanks big tech
