       @eff after having to call the cops on whoever was blasting music on the corner so loud that it was 90 decibels inside my apartment twice a week for months, I wish you had picked a different example to highlight.  Permanent ear damage and being unable to work on Mondays because it’s impossible to sleep at 90dB is not some minor problem that should be treated so dismissively.

       @effThe trend in loud cars make me sympathetic to this use by this horrible company. A very preliminary study correlates loud cars to sociopathy. More certain is heart trouble: https://www.health.harvard.edu/heart-health/how-noise-pollution-may-harm-the-heart
