@GNUxeava @Hothrin @raccoon --script-opts=ytdl_hook-all_formats=yes this is the option you want anywats. then by pressing gv in mpv you can select the video track

@raccoon @GNUxeava @Hothrin idk how --script-ops options work , u might be able to, or maybe theres a yt-dlp config you can set. but honestly i dont know what happens if you usr this on a local video, whether it fails or just moves along without caring. u shoukd try

@GNUxeava@fedi.absturztau.be @fiore@brain.worm.pink @raccoon@hollow.raccoon.quest @Hothrin@transfem.social mpv automatically scales based on screen, it will downscale 4k to 1080p if your display is 1080p. so you can have your window manager switch display to 1080p then play videg with sway config, can be something like:output HDMI-A-1 mode 1920x1080

@brettm @GNUxeava @raccoon @Hothrin yes, as i said in this thread, placing a --format all line in the yt-dlp config, or otherwise passing --script-opts=ytdl_hook-all_formats=yes to mpv does the trick
