       Giving Random User a platform able to execute arbitrary software when all they need is a web browser, groupware, and some office functionality has led to the madness we have on office desks today.But who in their right mind would let them create* and then run their own software?        @fedops can't wait for them to start selling us "endpoint security tools monitoring", a tool to help us ensure that we've deployed all the endpoint security tools that already exist.they're probably done after another 50 layers of "endpoint security" or so, hopefully, maybe, probably not

       @quad no this is the perpetuum mobile of security theater. Add more bullshit and then add more anti-bullshit bullshit which is 50% effective but there'll be a new version out next quarter so make sure you also get the bullshit dispenser and the bullshit kpi monitoring suite. Both are available as part of the bullshit assurance program.

       @fedops i swear we have like 5 overpriced endpoint security things at work, and 80% of each product's features overlap with at least one other product we're already paying for
