       Argh.. past month our total server bill was almost €200 higher then usual so I extensively compared the last two invoices but couldn’t find any changes in servers, volumes or whatever so I opened a ticket at HetznerJust got a reply that it’s because of “the price change that took effect in April, which we announced to you during the week of February 22–27.”So it’s permanent 😿  The one time sponsorship is awesome but this.. So heads up for people who host at Hetzner 💸

       @hetzner I am extremely thankful for the one time sponsorship but with the new price increase it’s adding roughly €2400 to our bills on a yearly basis :blobcatscared: Is there room to talk about this or is it set in stone? We’re trying to offer a better solution to the big tech web but it’s getting harder and harder this way

       @stux for the things you get Hetzner is still a strong choice o.o.My bills for my servers are currently way more than my monthly rent - just for "hobby stuff" like my small instance but i don't see any suitable alternative to them o.oAnd nice that you got a one time sponsorship though, congratz :3

       @stux I explored their service a while go. I started up a object storage unit, then shut it down. This cost 1¢ but I couldn't close my account until the end of the monthly billing cycle. The end of the month didn't come soon enough.

       @stux I recall trying to warn people about Hetzner a few months ago.  1st they're not an exclusive Germany company anymore, with both U.S. Data-centers locations, offices, and now a US Division.
