@theblessing Also I reinstalled StS. 5 card Ironclad is Bash, Rage, Dropkick x2. For your last card ideally Juggernaut to buff the DPS, or Barricade for the massive hyperarmor you can build.

@CrayonEater dang that's so OP. the dropkick is enough to have the card draw to keep it going? i guess i've never gotten my deck down to just 5 cards, so maybe it works, haha. i figured i'd need a shrug it off or pommel strike in there, or i'd need to somehow get the unceasing top. hopefully i can try another run tonight, my last few after your suggestions were going better!!

@theblessing True five card is only going to happen if you get the pipe very early in your run, and then you shift everything to your 5 card strat. You need to have a five card strat perpared for each character because the chances of getting the pipe early enough for it to matter are going to be very slim.It also has insanely strong synergy with Bag of Marbles and together they will pretty much let you face roll the entire Spire outside of Time Eater.It's a very strong combo and I got got a basic clear on my third of fourth game after I reinstalled. No peacepipe so I couldn't 5 card it, but it is what it is toobz.

@CrayonEater that's so cool. i really appreciate all of your tips, thank you for taking the time to share them all. you're right, it's so random and rare that i get the peace pipe, but that helps. i might even try an endless custom run just to try to get down to a five card deck and see how it feels since 50 levels never seems like enough to make my dream deck, haha. excited to try again!

@CrayonEater IT HAPPENED!! :ablobcathyper: this whole build was all over the place until i got the 5 apparition. then i got the incense burner and i used exhumes to keep pulling the apparitions back into my hand. then with offering, hemokinesis, and berserk i could use hp-drain skills without actually losing much HP, i had heals to keep my HP topped off, and i had fire breathing/the bomb/stone calendar for lots of damage and i was drawing sooo many cards per turn. it was a pretty OP deck and i kinda destroyed the heart with it. i really appreciate all of your help! i'm definitely going to try to manufacture a five card run now, even if it's in custom. >:3

@theblessing If you get the core cards in your deck and the ironclad exclusive Elixer potion you get exhaust the extra cards from your deck and just play with the five mentioned to get a feel. I specifically did that with the run I posted on The Champ and ate through his 420 lifebar in one turn.

@CrayonEater same. 😆 i always regret getting it because you lose SOOO much max hp, but it came up and the deck was going so badly, i figured "fuck it" and for once it worked out, lolol.

@theblessing It's one of those things I will take if I am running a very light deck that can cycle quickly like Silent. If you can just keep pulling cards you will get five turns of basically no damage which can let you set up whatever combo you need, as well as letting you tank specific killer attacks from bosses. If you get the Tungsten Rod is is just straight up immunity.

@CrayonEater yeah! i had crazy card draw, so it's just like you said, i was basically untouchable for so long that all of the time-release aoe's were able to proc while i was getting demon form and everything else set up. very fun deck. was hoping for tungsten rod, but even without it, it worked out. it took sooo long but finally i feel like i understand the ironclad synergy a little better, lol.

@theblessing For me, one of the most fun decks to play is Defect with Creative AI and Mummified Hand. It is complete RNG slop and you completely lose control as your deck starts bloating to insane sizes. You will keep getting power cards every turn, every time you play a power card a card in your hand cost zero. Eventually Creative AI will start giving you multiple Hello Worlds which give you random common cards every turn. It's one of those decks which is slow to build up speed, but once it gets going it is just a chaotic mess of throwing everything, including the kitchen sink, at the enemy.

@CrayonEater that sounds really fun. i feel like i always sidestep hello world because i end up getting annoyed by the extra common card that dilutes my deck, but it sounds like if you lean into it like this, it can be really fun and chaotic. defect was the first character that i made a lot of progress on, it has a lot of really fun different strategies. i especially like just endless lightning chains when you get the aoe lightning and start stacking piles of them with every power card you play, very very fun and eats through stuff like enemies with thorns and those little flying motherfuckers.
