Hi Sharky dev's@dakkar@s.thenautilus.net, @marie@we.yap.tf, @hazelnoot@enby.life and @CenTdemeern1@eepy.moe I do believe I've found a HUGE :bugcat_angry: ... Users are unable to registrar on this Sharky installation... like at all, all processes seems to be running smoothly, users are informed about the confirmation e-mail, but the account is:1. Not registered in the system2. No mails are sendAlso tried by invites only, Their my lab rat got his mail.. while I didn't and he pushed the confirmation link... yet the account are not even registered in the systemHow to debug this major problem?

@freyja@sharky.freyjas.org this is probably going to be easier to do over Discord, but let's try- how does you instance send emails?- when you say "no emails are sent", how did you check that?- when you say "the account are not even registered in the system", what do you mean? the screenshow shows that the account was created, but not confirmedsome general notes:- we generally discourage non-invite instances, because even if bots can't easily create real accounts, they can still clog your database with half-created users…@CenTdemeern1@eepy.moe @hazelnoot@enby.life

The same problem is occurring on the password reset mails.The msg are so darn small, that spam filter are filtering them out, even my SMTP provider are ditching the msg as spam as the text is to short. I then contacted the server owner, and had him looking into the logs, and this is the reason.The next problem(task) is to create the owner, register given data, and then provide the option to log in to the account, but not allow posting or anything else but browse, fill in invisible data(*), only the users account, bit like the enemy mastodon, and give them the possibility to resend confirmation mail.*: here I mean. no changed data should be published until mail is confirmed.GH issue https://github.com/misskey-dev/misskey/issues/12038- also in response to https://sharky.freyjas.org/notes/amn8i3xkvnbc000h===========================Allow me to send another Q in the same msg1. Sharkey sends them, so Sharkey is working correctlyI'm not sure what you mean by "time wasted". I want to remind you that Sharkey is free software (free as in freedom), written by volunteers for fun in our spare time; it's provided free-of-charge, but also without any warranty of any kind (if you find a problem, we will acknowledge it, and add it to the pile of stuff we may get around to, at some point in the future)re: esm.sh: sure, keep it blocked, you lose syntax highlighting but everything else should keep working; we don't support such a network configuration, thoughwe may at some point embed all of shiki's themes (the things that get sourced from esm.sh), and as always patches welcome if you want to do the workre: posting form: oh, you want the posting form widget to have configurable height; sure, open in issue
