       fun fact: the Hebrew #Wikipedia has a semi-enforced policy to deadname and misgender trans people when talking about times before they came out, even if they weren't notable at the time. in the discussion that solidified this policy, one of the arguments against correctly gendering trans people was that "it will lead to nonsense sentences such as 'she divorced her wife'".yes, really.

       despite regularly editing there, i really quite hate many of the people on #Wikipedia and fully loathe the #Wikimedia foundation.EnWiki regularly misgenders historic trans people and deadnames historic black people despite both explicitly being against policy.on HeWiki i suffered more harassment than from the actual organised TERF movement of the country i grew up in, and that includes the time one of them tried to sue me.and there's Wikipedias run by actual "Hitler was a good guy" Nazis.

       and the #Wikimedia foundation knows about it and does nothing. in fact in the case of HrWiki, one of the aforementioned "Hitler was a good guy" Wikipedias, the foundation deliberately chose not to act *for years*, according to *their own admission*.
