I don't look at the federated timeline.When I add people to my follows it's usually because I saw it in a thread on the home timeline.I've probably just been busy whenever someone on my tl actually responded to a lolihellthread.Prior to that when I was using varishangout as my main instance I used to only look at the public timeline.
