@fiore@brain.worm.pink @chjara@akko.tuxcrafting.xyz @coolbean@brain.worm.pink implicit type casting is actually very consistent once you understand the rules around it. people just act like it makes no sense because it's different from whatever language they learned previously. people just shit on JS in particular because it got a bad reputation due to enabling the ad industry. codegolfing exists in all languages, I've seen C code shaped like a donut that renders a 3D-looking ascii art of a donut.
