       @twinkle some autistic people (between others) feel really disturbed by eye contact specially in images with faces of people.this helps them to open only whenever they feel ready to see instead of receiving them unsolicited.

       @twinkle i did not realize it about my pfp and would not be surprised if some people avoid interacting because of that. however, most of the cases are also affected by the size of the picture and appearing in the timeline as a big one (sizing differences with one being really noticeable). i did receive complains about it in timeline. i can also ask the friends who feel disturbed by it why they did not tell me about the cw there.

       @echedellelr @twinkle so I can say it's also a hearsay for me, but also that Eche's profile pic is so tiny (just like all the other profile pics) that I don't even register or has eye contact or eyes, for me when it's in timeline, it's just a face-shaped blob with some specific color scheme that makes it somewhat ready to recognize this account and to differentiate it from others. In order to see the cave in detail (and see eye contact) I'd need to explicitly go to profile and open the profile picture separately and explicitly, and I guess that for people who have problems with eye contact on photos it's likely that the thumbnail itself can serve as a kind of content warning to just not go and open the large version unprepared?
