Watching a video (moistcritikal) on the fans getting mad at the creator of the amazing digital circus for reacting non-nonchalantly over a leak. Someone in chat asked the streamer what is the most toxic fandom, and he said maybe Snyder-verse fans and gave an example of a guy who would stalk people at cons for talking shit about Snyder films. I was not aware of that. Makes me wonder what other crazy shit happens in fandoms that you just don't hear about. This is why I don't get involved in those things. Except the fandoms for my fellow fedi-friends :hanaUwu:

@epsi @kura no i’m constantly terrified people will take my silliness as genuine bullying it’s my deepest darkest fear. i wake up one morning to a fifty four page google doc calling me out on everything from jokingly calling someone dumb and finally ending on my mom voted for trump or smth stupid like that. (my mom did vote for trump but that’s one of 15 billion reasons why i don’t talk to her/she is not in my life)

@epsi my mom bought me the first two books in grade 7 and i was like “i mean they’re like fine or whatever. for babies.”cho chang as the chinese love interest is STILL fuckin crazy work tho. imagine if the love interest of the protagonist in your story was named ching chong ding dong. like wtf. also i was in middle school and was like “aren’t these illustrations of the goblins or whatever that run the wizard bank like…mad nazi-coded or is it just me?
