       The Boys' first two attempts to kill Homelander were interesting, involving as they did recruiting his father to do the deed, then his son. Butcher taking the superhero drug and just happening to get enough power to be somewhat immune to Homelander's Kryptonian tier powers was too convenient to be believed. Almost every other superhero was easily dispatched by Homelander if he was even slightly annoyed with them. Same goes for Homelander's son and father.The final battle was introduced quickly in the final season with no prior setup, and took a seriously underpowered character and made her the trump card for... reasons. Soldier Boy was explained by having taken the OG V 1.0. Kimiko's powers were increased by radiation exposure... somehow.
