it was a mistake to pick Spanish back in school as tertiary language (or 4th if you count Bavarian which has an almost entirely separate grammar and vocabulary from German).¾ of it is as if German and English had a child, which resulted in the most boring learning experience ever. in my spare time i also practiced French for a year and a half but dropped it when i began working a full time job q.qmuch more exciting than those would be Polish and Russian, but contrary to the former languages i sadly rarely ever get in touch with native speakers irl :/

@alina envious of your multiple language capabilities. I only speak/read/write my native English, and that poorly

@alina@girldick.gay I've always wondered, is learning spanish such an awful experience as I think it is?I mean I find it easy since I'm a native speaker but I think other languages don't have a morbillion verbal formsMaybe German is like that too, I wouldn't know

@larozeppeli oh German is way worse. Spanish is like really simple in comparison and just has a lot more irregularities in exchange for less complex abstractions
