economics of buying lactose free products vs lactase pills vs eating stuff that wouldn't have lactose in the first place

@sodiboo never got into pills, but I'm lucky that fermented milk products work fine for me, so I only need sweet milk products (i.e. milk itself and cream) to be lactose free, and over time I just happened to consume them less and less (even sweet cow milk now only as part of dishes; I started to prefer soy milk to it as a drink). Also in Germany they're not that much expensive than lactoseful options (and my total consumption is maybe idk ten liters of milk and one liter of cream per year), main problems are that when buying ready dishes or eating out (have to just miss on any dishes or drinks with non-negligible amounts of sweet milk products), or when traveling (in many other countries, it can be quite difficult to find real and decently priced lactose-free milk, especially full cream, especially fresh).Fermented milk products (cheese, sour cream, yoghurt, sour butter, etc) form a significant part of my food consumption though; don't know how I would handle realizing one day that lactose intolerance started applying to them too.Oh and ice cream, I just stopped eating sweet milk based ones; from stores, it's either yoghurt based or vegan ones (they're quite tasty too); from ice cream shops, after trying real good sorbetti (which are by definition dairy free), I just cannot bring myself to buy anything else.
