A year before the VIPcast started and ended, and right before the terminal decline set in causing the site to go on zombie mode.SAOVQ finally excited zombie mode ealier this year and is no longer even maintained as an archive. 19 years is pretty good for a textboard that never had more than a dozen users.

Sure there were pockets of genuinely intelligent and witty banter, but the majority of the internet was just as grugbrained as it is today it was just easier to segregate because nobody was packed into a handful of services and forced to share space with the mouth breathers.I can remember little jimmy me on WWF usenet groups reading some of the most unhinged, pants shitting, retarded nigger babble that would make even modern day /pol/ and all its jeets read like an Ernst Jünger journal.
