@josh Must be a side effect of the competency crisis. As a child I thought the adult world comprised mostly of reliable people, but this was back when we heavily stigmatized and shamed adults for acting childish. It's more than just technical training; I think a lot of reliability stems from training children to think logically, fostering their curiosity, and instilling in them a sense of morality and virtue about their place in society. One of the many casualties lost in an increasingly culturally fragmented nation...

@josh I feel like the roles of service and customer have reversed, while there was a time where competent people would work on customer facing roles that time is long gone, it is now the customer's job to spend time and go after support to get their shit working as opposed to some wagie going after you to keep your money coming in. Point is, I think competent people, which are already a minority, simply don't interact with each other as much anymore.

@josh @YouDoNotHaveTheRight doing something is not rewarded and often punished. not doing anything is easier and has more chances that you will not do anything wrong, since you are doing nothing.

@josh because nobody is made equal and they set you up to fail.You need retarded people to do the shit you dont want to do like cleaning or doing retail.When I worked at macdonalds when I was in college (circa 2018/19) the majority wasnt teenagers working there but grown fucking adults who didnt have anything going for them and thought everything was too difficult.Because nobody wants to be the boogeyman toward a kid, nobody wants to tell them : "Dont do this, do this instead." Because it would ruin their whimsy and joy.You need to get your balls busted once and you need to be retarded once to improve in your childhood to get grounded in realism.Most incompetent people believe their doing well, and when you eventually do bust their balls they can only shrug and be pissed in adulthood.There is no improvement-drive, nor do they want to learn from mistakes, they never grew-up with the thought.They are literal goycattle, and I am a firm believer that in the early 2000's this slogan: "You can be and do anything you want later when you grow up" fucked people so hard in the ass because it never tells you to work toward it.

@josh Maybe you're focusing way too much on the things you are having to do yourself while not seeing the bigger picture? For many of us it's easy to fixate on how retarded things are in our areas of interest while taking for granted that someone just swam through shit to make sure sewage didn't start spewing out of drains randomly.
