       Clanker-Glazers are insufferable.  I work with niggers like this. "Hey let me show you the cool thing I just spent a whole week with  Claude building, it is that tool we need for X, it is completely written in golang, I don't know golang at all, nevermind that we are an all python shop and we have no actual way to integrate this into our existing stack"weeks of token and "engineer" time flushed down the toilet to make what was essentially and visual proof of concept you could have done in mispaint or html.

       @deprecated_ii isn't the worry here when the tool is too good and then your actual skills decay. You then forget how to maintain the code. :kek_pain: I think AI assisting you is a good thing but uh I'm not sure if 200/m is going to be a thing later. Might cost more in the future due to energy.Gotta wait for those vibe coded chickens to come roost.

       @Spooke doesn't matter if the tool is good or bad, using it instead of doing the work yourself will rapidly cause atrophy and rewire the way your brain approaches the taskthis is easily observable in people who can't write correct code without a heavyweight IDE. since their brain has forgotten (or never knew) proper syntax, they're also terrible at spotting small bugs, typos and such likenow the masses have embraced AI and it's 1000x worse than an IDE could ever be. a prompt becomes the first step in solving every problem. I guarantee some of these people ask AI what to eat for dinner. it's an off switch for the brain and they love itI'm not totally against AI when it's used as an extremely limited tool for specific tasks. I've built ML tools myself. but nobody's using it that way. it's too seductive I guess, they're like rats hitting the "dispense cocaine" button over and over
