       i've been doing a lot of C coding on 2.11BSD lately, which only ships vi and ed as text editors. i've always been a nano user, but i've gotten pretty used to vi lately and i'm considering i might want to try using it more on modern linux, however i recall people talking about how vim and neovim are full of AI generated contributions now and shouldn't be used but i'm kind of out of the loop. to what extent is vim and neovim AI coded these days, and does anyone have any suggestions for alternatives?
