       Yeah the new design looks terrible, given that old one presented same information and used free space better: https://web.archive.org/web/20251223060941/https://www.freebsd.org/The only positive thing about new design is that it's responsive and mobile friendly (unless I'm mistaken and archive.org fucks with the CSS and breaks it)@domi @FreeBSDFoundation

       @pj @FreeBSDFoundation it’s not like making the old site responsive was impossible, <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width,initial-scale=1.0"> and a handful of @media css rules goes a long way

       Yeah, the comments confirm what has been already said, that is, website looks "meh" but because it's more "modern", because it's new, people favour it over the older one. The point is that it could have been refreshed by fixing the pain points without killing whole vibe.@grahamperrin @markmcb @thedaemon @domi @FreeBSDFoundation

       @grahamperrin @markmcb @thedaemon @pj @FreeBSDFoundation from my very quick glance over the linked thread(s), it feels like there’s more people that dislike the redesign than people who liked it.then again, i’m not really interested in raging a flamewar against a decision you’ve already made, especially when the main point ‘pro’ is looking modern (something which I find to be a huge detriment)
