       My hard drive has basically evolved into a glorified cache layer for the internet.Nothing truly "lives" there anymore. It's just:- 14 copies of outdated installers I'll re-download anyway- memes temporarily awaiting repost- a Steam library that functions as a bandwidth benchmark- and 4TB of Linux ISOs I'm apparently emotionally attached to

       @fribbledom I found my old stash of data cds and dvds last month.  There were even old kubuntu 8.04 isos that Canonical used to send out if you asked them.

       @fribbledom I only keep one or two recent Linux ISOs around, for copying onto a flash drive as needed. I also keep a couple old Windows ISOs around, for mounting and installing on VMs. Used very rarely now because I do so little software development on Windows any more.

       @fribbledom I've got dozens of terabytes of HDDs, mostly archives of stuff downloaded from the 'net. Ripped video and audio streams, pirated music, pirated ebooks, pirated cinema, pirated TV, pirated everything. And perhaps a terabyte or two of material I made, mostly photos and digital paintings.
